Competition Economist Chetan Sanghvi Joins Charles River Associates as a Vice President; Antitrust and Damages Expert Bolsters Firm's Litigation Consulting Capability
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 9, 2004--Charles River Associates Incorporated (NASDAQ: CRAI), an internationally known leader in providing economic, financial, and management consulting services, today announced that Chetan Sanghvi has joined CRA as a Vice President in the firm's Boston headquarters.
An expert in industrial organization and antitrust economics, Dr. Sanghvi also specializes in the economic analysis of liability and damages in commercial litigation. He frequently is called upon to provide expert economic and statistical testimony in antitrust cases, as well as matters involving alleged trademark and patent infringement, breach of contract, and Lanham Act violations. In addition, Dr. Sanghvi has evaluated the competitive impacts of numerous proposed corporate mergers in the United States, Canada, and Europe, regularly presenting his findings to state, federal, and international antitrust law enforcement authorities.
Before joining CRA, Dr. Sanghvi served as an economist within the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Economics, where he analyzed mergers and acquisitions and other antitrust issues. He was also an adjunct associate professor of economics at New York University, where he taught microeconomic theory to graduate students. In the past, Dr. Sanghvi has taught industrial organization, antitrust policy, and game theory at Johns Hopkins and Rutgers universities and at Trinity College (Hartford). He also served as a managing principal at Analysis Group and, earlier, as a senior consultant at National Economic Research Associates. Dr. Sanghvi received his Ph.D. in Economics from Rutgers University.
