Economics and Finance Specialist E. Allen Jacobs Joins Charles River Associates as Vice President
BOSTON, Dec 17, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Charles River Associates Incorporated (NASDAQ: CRAI), an internationally known leader in providing economic, financial, and management consulting services, today announced that nationally recognized economist and finance specialist E. Allen Jacobs has joined CRA as a Vice President within the firm's Competition Practice, and will be based in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Jacobs, former President of the Dallas consulting firm CPI Advisors, Inc., is an expert in industrial organization, financial economics, econometrics, and business planning. A hands-on strategist and founder of an incubator/accelerator firm, he has spearheaded the funding and operational development of several early-stage businesses, one of which achieved annual revenues in excess of $100 million. Dr. Jacobs' demonstrated expertise in industry restructuring led to his entrepreneurial involvement with some of the most prominent and successful investors of the recent past, including T. Boone Pickens, Harold Simmons, and Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Dr. Jacobs has served on the economics and finance faculties of Harvard, M.I.T., and the University of Texas at Austin, teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses. The business print and radio media frequently call upon him for his informed opinions on current topics involving financial economics. Dr. Jacobs has testified as an expert witness regarding economic and financial issues in both federal and state courts, and before federal regulatory boards and state agencies.
